Our Commitment

Viridor is a company with strong values of responsibility and integrity. Our Code of Conduct contains general guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics.

Viridor’s policy is to encourage all employees, officers, consultants, contractors, casual and agency workers to raise any concerns about suspected wrongdoing or unlawful or unethical conduct and that they are able to do so without the fear of reprisals.

We want you to feel comfortable in approaching your supervisor, management or HR in instances where you believe violations of policies or standards have occurred. However, if you feel uncomfortable raising your concerns internally there is Speak Up, an external hotline, hosted by a third party provider, EthicsPoint. You are encouraged to submit reports relating to violations stated in our Code of Conduct, as well as asking for guidance related to policies and procedures.

Speak Up is not designed for general grievances between colleagues and bullying so the normal process should be followed. Therefore, in order for Speak up to investigate any alleged grievance/bullying type issues, there must be a valid reason why the normal grievance procedure has not been followed e.g. raising with your line manager, or a more senior manager, or raised through an HR or ER Business Partner using the normal channels, who are better placed to resolve such issues.

If you still feel that Speak Up is the correct reporting method for you to report alleged grievances or bullying, then we must be able to contact you for more information. This can still be done through the Speak-up system.

The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.

See the Speak Up FAQs for more information.
